Decorreu hoje de manhã o "Evento" em que fui o Guest Speaker.
Como se diz na China, correu "Mama Huhu". Mais ou menos... Falar em inglês para Australianos e Ingleses às vezes é complicado. E falar de logística para pessoas que trabalham de facto em empresas de logística é delicado. "Ah e tal, quem é que é este tipo que trabalha em banca de investimento e que está cá há 5 meses para nos vir fazer apresentações?" Mas aparentemente o feedback foi positivo...
Parece que foi o primeiro Working Group conjunto das 3 Câmaras. À volta de 40 pessoas, o melhor pequeno-almoço que tenho apanhado nestas reuniões, 40 minutos a falar e umas perguntas no final respondidas na melhor tradição do sapateado nacional. Um político profissional não faria melhor.

GUEST SPEAKER Joao Alves is a Vice President at Capital Eight, where he is responsible for the logistics, infrastructure and construction industries. Prior to joining Capital Eight, Joao worked for Leadership Business Consulting, a management consultancy headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, focussing on the transport and logistics sectors with a specialisation in railways. He was responsible for project execution and the development of business proposals. Joao is Portuguese and holds a post-graduate degree in Financial Analysis from the Institute for the Development of Economic, Financial and Enterprise Studies. He speaks English, Italian and Spanish and is currently trying to acquire Chinese. Capital Eight is an investment banking advisory firm headquartered in Shanghai.
